Nick Nolte Sells His Malibu Estate for $8.25 million.

Nick Nolte’s Estate is 6,000 square fee, 4 bedroom  on two acres in Malibu’s Bonsall Canyon.

Nick Nolte and his Malibu mansion have been through the ups and downs of the Southern California real estate market since the actor purchased the home in 1990, fresh off a string of ’80s hit films. But after haging on to the home for 23 years it seems he’s finally ready to sell.

The “48 Hours” star just listed the 4-bedroom house for $8.25 million, according to real estate website Redfin. He paid $2.35 million for it.Nick Nolte (Amanda Edwards/WireImage)A look at the photos shows the 6,000-square-foot estate, which sits on two acres in Malibu’s Bonsall Canyon, isn’t lacking in heavy stone and wood detail. Case in point: The listing boasts a mahogany arched entryway with onyx floor, 19-foot vaulted ceilings, six massive stone and carved wood fireplaces, Italian marble floors with wood inlay, and mahogany French doors and windows.

The property is split into two structures (because Nick needs his privacy when he has visitors). The main house includes a bedroom on the ground floor and a “romantic” master suite upstairs, complete with two fireplaces. There’s also a detached 2-bedroom

3-bath guest house with a couple of additional fireplaces and private entrances. The yard features a lighted tennis court, lagoon-style pool, and hot tub.

And Nolte isn’t the only showbiz type to have lived there. Eagles member Don Felder, actor Tommy Chong, and music producer David Foster all previously owned the pad. But Nolte has the honor of being the only resident who made us cry in “Prince of Tides.”

Vince Jackson Sells Home in Scripps Ranch.

Vince Jackson Sells Home in Scripps Ranch.

Former Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who recently signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is selling his Scripps Ranch home, public records show.

The property, near Scripps Ranch and Mira Mesa boulevards, received multiple offers after it was listed less than a month ago for $650,000, according to one of the listing agents. It’s expected to close escrow in about a month.

According to public records, Jackson bought the three-bed, three-bath home in May 2006 for $790,000. The most current assessed value is $533,000. Jackson received a Proposition 8 adjustment due to a decline in market value, according to the assessor’s office.

The renovated property, in the Scripps Ranch’s Miro/Ravel development, features granite counters, custom-designed backyard with synthetic grass and a sound system, the listing says. The community features a spa, barbecue area, pool and play area for kids.

Jackson left the Chargers after seven seasons. In March, Jackson announced he would join the Buccaneers on a five-year, $55.56 million contract.

Linda Schiller and Phil Simms, both with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, are the listing agents of this home.

Driving tour and introduction to The Bridges Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe.

Take a look at what The Bridges Country Club has to offer in Rancho Santa Fe!

The Bridges Clubhouse.

The Bridges is an extremely exclusive enclave, constructed to preserve the natural beauty of its terrain. The community is centered around a championship golf course built by the Robert Trent Jones II Group and a 35,000 clubhouse, reminiscent of a centuries old Tuscan Village. From 2003-2005, The Bridges hosted “The Battle at The Bridges” and millions watched as Tiger Woods, John Daly, Phil Mickelson and Retief Goosen battled it out.

Here is a gallery of photos around the club:

Here is my first of a few driving tours inside The Bridges Country Club. I made it “on the fly” so pardon that 🙂

Gwynneth Paltrow buys a Mansion in Los Angeles for $10 Million.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin score $10 million L.A. estate

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and rocker husband Chris Martin of Coldplay, are long time East Coast residents, preferring penthouses in Manhattan and a large estate in the Hamptons for their home base. And although they recently bought in Los Angeles, it appears they stuck with the East Coast aesthetic, buying a gracious estate in Brentwood, foregoing the Spanish-Colonials and Mid-Century mods prevalent in the area.

The couple picked up the home for close to the current asking price of $10.45 million. The property first hit the market last year for $11.96 million. The home was built new as a concept house by designer Windsor Smith. The so-called “House of Windsor” was featured in Veranda Magazine and showcases rooms by multiple L.A. designers including Candace Barnes, Peter Dunham and Kathryn Ireland. The kitchen, however, was designed by Smith, who explained to the L.A. Times, that “kitchens are the new living rooms.” Her design includes Calacatta marble countertops, a deep farmhouse sink and enormous dining table surrounded by mismatched chairs.
