Former Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who recently signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is selling his Scripps Ranch home, public records show.

The property, near Scripps Ranch and Mira Mesa boulevards, received multiple offers after it was listed less than a month ago for $650,000, according to one of the listing agents. It’s expected to close escrow in about a month.

According to public records, Jackson bought the three-bed, three-bath home in May 2006 for $790,000. The most current assessed value is $533,000. Jackson received a Proposition 8 adjustment due to a decline in market value, according to the assessor’s office.

The renovated property, in the Scripps Ranch’s Miro/Ravel development, features granite counters, custom-designed backyard with synthetic grass and a sound system, the listing says. The community features a spa, barbecue area, pool and play area for kids.

Jackson left the Chargers after seven seasons. In March, Jackson announced he would join the Buccaneers on a five-year, $55.56 million contract.

Linda Schiller and Phil Simms, both with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, are the listing agents of this home.

The Bridges Clubhouse.

 The Bridges is an extremely exclusive enclave, constructed to preserve the natural beauty of its terrain. The community is centered around a championship golf course built by the Robert Trent Jones II Group and a 35,000 clubhouse, reminiscent of a centuries old Tuscan Village. From 2003-2005, The Bridges hosted “The Battle at The Bridges” and millions watched as Tiger Woods, John Daly, Phil Mickelson and Retief Goosen battled it out.

Fairbanks Ranch is a rarity, in that it is one of the nicest gated communities in the San Dieguito River Valley in Rancho Santa Fe. It is a gated community of exclusive estates and mansions. It is the only gated community where the gate guards and patrol all have guns and will use them. People buy in this development because of the park like grounds, the equestrian facility and the 9 hole putting green. A significant part of Fairbanks Ranch is centered around a lake, that is absolutely breathless.

A bit of history:  Once part of the historic Spanish Land Grant, the ranch was purchased by Douglas Fairbanks in the 1920’s. Here are the parallels with Del Mar, and all the actors who came down to our area for the summers to gamble at the Del Mar Race Track, frolic at the Del Mar Beach and stay with others who had homes on the sand in Del Mar.  Douglas Fairbanks and his wife Mary Pickford owned more than 3,000 acres of the area, which they called Rancho Zorro.

Today Fairbanks Ranch is comprised of two components, 618 residential lots, which have custom homes built by each individual lot owner. The rest is built by Fairbanks Ranch Country Club made up of 341 production homes.

I took a “semi” quick drive through Fairbanks today, got behind the gates to give you a sense of the splendor and specialness of this area. Please turn your speakers  up because I do talk about the area as I am driving and pass on facts here and there along the way.

Mickelson Sells La Jolla Beach Front Estate.

The sale closed earlier this week after being on the market for 102 days. Mickelson and his wife Amy bought the 2,300-square-foot home in 1999 for about $1.65 million. It was sold to a Wall Street financial executive, according to the buyer’s agent, Dennis DeSouza.

Mickelson also is trying to sell his 9,500-square-foot home in Rancho Santa Fe for about $7.1 million.

The beachfront property has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a oceanfront decks from the living room and master bedroom.

Their sales have been buyers’ gains.
